Accounting Program Details
Accounting majors acquire the power of analytical thinking. They learn to develop, analyze, interpret and present information for effective business decision-making, and they graduate ready to assume a wide range of professional opportunities in public accounting, industry, government and the non-profit sector. The Drake University School of Accounting is one of only 176 accounting programs in the world accredited by AACSB International. The accounting curriculum also prepares graduates to take examinations leading to such professional designations as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and the Certificate in Financial Management (CFM).
