Our projects for this year stemmed from the theme "Buidling Bridges." The theme came up when we recognized at the beginning of the year that for the development of our SIFE team which was made up of four student members and 3 advisory board members, we had to begin reaching out to the community around us. This meant presenting explicitly what SIFE was all about, our mission and our goals so people would understand how we could work with them and help them help themselves. We began by reaching out to the professional community to expand our advisory board. When the year kicked of we reached out to students, faculty and administration and slowly our vision began to take form. We come up with several projects that we felt would enable us to realize our targets and grow into a sustainable organization.
